ABOUT

Hello,

My name is Claire Abraham Founder and President of The Board here at The Kathryn McCoy Resource Project. I have made it my mission to provide my community with the access to hygiene supplies. I started this as a 11 year old girl just trying to make a difference in Athens County just like Kathryn (Katie) McCoy did. Katie believed that if it was for the kids then it was okay. She helped many organizations' including the ABC Players and The Opera House of Nelsonville. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she directed choir and played piano for many years. She taught band at Chauncy Dover High School, and Nelsonville-York.  When she passed I wanted to do something in her honor that would ride out her legacy. My mission is to provide communities with access to free hygiene supplies so that they don’t have to worry about it. It’s hard enough trying to figure out how to afford to pay for rent, utilities, and food for their family. If the family is on food assistance that does not cover hygiene supplies, it doesn't even cover pads or tampons for women that can't control when their time of the month happens. Girls and women are missing school and work because they don't have the resources that they need. Help me help my community and provide access to hygiene supplies.
